MBTN, Inc. is unique in it service provisions, because it is the sole provider of pre-and-post-operative support for minority survivors of meningioma brain tumors and their families. While the literature cites a robust number of individuals, groups, associations and foundations seeking to address brain tumors as a whole, a preponderance of these organizations target children and adult survivors of cancerous brain tumors, with loose references to non-specific subtypes associated with meningioma brain tumors. Our work in advocacy is directly targeted at minority meningioma brain tumor patients/survivors due to the evidence-based prevalence of gender, racial and ethnic disparities in healthcare services to this group.
