Health Equity and Minority Women's Health Research Fellow

MBTN's own, Executive Leadership Committe's Board Officers Liaison, Dr Avareena "Av" Schools-Cropper has been selected for the Class of 2024 Cohort as a Health Equity Fellow for Early Career Health Policy Scholars.

The Health Affairs Health Equity Fellowship for Trainees (HEFT) and Podcast Fellowship programs provide multi-layered mentorship to early career researchers. HEFT currently focuses on research and publication that address topics on health equity along the dimensions of race and ethnicity.

Dr Schools-Cropper's fellowship will provide exposure to mentorship opportunities and experiences that will lead to her research advancement, scholarship, and publication acumen. Av's acquisition of such skill sets will enable MBTN to further expand its role of strengthening advocacy, awareness, and individualized support services for meningioma brain tumor survivors/thrivers in our pioneering quest for improving services that address pre-operative, post-operative, and treatment plans that significantly reduce the effects those endeavors have on our Quality of Life.

We are thrilled that Meningioma Brain Tumor Network, Inc will become a direct benefactor of Dr Schools-Cropper's future contributions and currency to health equity, scholarship and research publications.
